Jilda’s Ark is a young adult novel that is a fun, fast-paced read about a girl who goes through a life changing experience. It also has a wonderful cover design that I loved, and it suits the book and narrative really well.

About Me

G'day! I am Sarah Rasmussen - an avid reader and writer of children's fiction. I live in a small country town in South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia - with my partner Chris and little boy Sonny. I have just recently finished studying my MA in writing and am passionate about all things children's fiction and believe that every child can be a book lover. I adore Picture Books, am fond of Middle Grade novels and LOVE Young Adult books. I am hoping to be published myself one day and am in the middle of many projects and slugging through some first drafts, hoping to find a story worth telling.

I am also now reviewing on behalf of Kids Books Reviews, so keep an eye out for my reviews on their website and socials too!

carly books

I read lots of books, from mythology retellings to literary fiction and I love to reread books from childhood, this is a place to voice my thoughts for fun. I also like to ramble about things such as art or nature every now and again.
